Derek graduated from Oral Roberts University with a B.S. in communications and played varsity soccer there. He then attended and graduated from Word Of Life Bible Centre in Uppsala, Sweden. Sarah attended Carson-Newman College and Oral Roberts University. She graduated from Bible School in 1995. They met and married in 1996 at Kenneth Copeland Ministries, where they were both on staff. Derek and Sarah came to Charlotte in 2002 with a dream to be a part of a great family of believers. With their 5-year-old daughter, Caroline, they started the Branch in their living room in January, 2003. One family was in attendance. From that simple beginning has grown a thriving, exciting place of worship made up of some of the friendliest people around. Derek and Sarah are unashamed to talk about Jesus and the difference He makes in all our lives. With the addition of baby Kate they continue to do their part to increase the church.

DaVon Alexander

Growing up in a military family, DaVon Alexander has had the privilege of living from one end of the country to the other. DaVon is a seasoned minister who worked for Kenneth Copeland Ministries for seven years and also graduated from Jerry Savelle Ministries International School of Ministry. He is in love with God, loves people, and enjoys teaching the Word of God. DaVon met his beautiful wife, Stacy, at the Branch Family Church. Born and raised in Charlotte, Stacy Alexander attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and procured a bachelors degree in Sociology while minoring in Psychology. She currently works with the Department of Social Services. Stacy’s passion for God and underprivileged children is paramount in her personal ministry. DaVon and Stacy have a beautiful little 6 year old name Ziyanah-Grace who loves her stuffed animals, gymnastics, and dance.

A local guitar hero, Grayson has played in bands in the Charlotte area, has led worship in various churches throughout the region, and is a studio session guitarist. Along with being on the Branch worship team and writing original music, Grayson helps with some of the church's technical areas: audio, CD service editing, web site upkeep. Tori has grown up ministering in children’s meetings all over the country. She graduated from Word Of Life Bible Centre and joined the Branch as Children’s Ministry coordinator for Sunday services and oversees chapels at BCA, and is a part of the worship team.

Stephen is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK and also attended Asbury College, Jerry Savelle's Bible Institute and School of World Evangelism, Carson-Newman College and the University of Tennessee. Obviously, Stephen loves to learn! Stephen is also passionate about world evangelism and missions. He has traveled to China, Spain, India and Israel. April earned her undergraduate at Maryville College in Maryville, TN and received her masters degree from the University of Tennessee. She is a small town girl with a big heart to see children learn and grow. April sees potential in everyone! Stephen and April met at a small church in Tennessee and married in 2004. Their little girl, Elise, was born in 2006. She runs everywhere, talks non-stop and thinks pets are for neighbors.

Marvin nació en Honduras Centro América. En 1996 el conoció su esposa Iris en la ciudad de Charlotte, Carolina del Norte y se caso el siguiente año. Ellos tienen dos maravillosos niños, Natalia y Alejandro. Marvin asistió a la Escuela Bíblica de las Asambleas de Dios en Honduras. También el y Iris asistieron en la Escuela ministerial, The Branch. Ellos dirigen un grupo de crecimiento en español y ayudan en traducir cada domingo en el servicio de las 10:45 en la localidad de Mallard Creek. Ellos comparten una gran pasión por la comunidad hispana. Marvin e Iris aman a la gente y disfrutan servirles en cualquier forma que sea posible. El enfoque principal del ministerio hispano es llevar la buenas nuevas de salvación, el mensaje de la gracia y del amor de Cristo Jesús a todas las personas.

Marvin attended the Assembly of God Bible School in Honduras and the Branch School of Ministry. They lead a small Spanish group and provide Spanish interpretation at the 10:45am Sunday service at the Mallard Creek Campus. Marvin was born and raised in Honduras. He met Iris in Charlotte, NC in 1996 and married the following year. They have two amazing kids, Natalia and Alejandro.
